At Makom, we firmly believe that Jewish education is vital for children’s development as ethical, engaged, and empowered Jews. We’re proud that Makom Afterschool and Makom ATID are delivering high-quality, inclusive, and pluralistic Jewish and Hebrew education to 100 kids this year, from junior kindergarten through grade 8.
But for some families, the cost of after-school Jewish education just isn’t financially feasible.
We never turn away a student due to lack of funds. This school year, we’re providing more than $44,000 in financial aid, allowing students who otherwise wouldn’t have been able to attend our programs to learn Hebrew, connect with their Jewish heritage, and be part of our warm community.
About half of this funding comes from a generous grant from the Julia and Henry Koschitzky Centre for Jewish Education of UJA Federation; the rest comes from donors like you.
